Small Deserts ?
Can there be a small desert? Just a little desert, something you can walk across in a couple of hours. Sure, it's hot and dry, but there's parking on all four sides and easy access from the Interstate. LOL.
Deserts are large for a purpose... You've got to be able to pick a direction and walk for a week without seeing anybody (alive). It has to be big to have the shifting sands, blowing dunes, and raw cut arroyos. A small desert doesn't do anything for anybody.

Have you ever seen the small desert in Rhode Island? Or the one in Indiana? Or Nebraska? Or Maine? There are small deserts. Where do they come from?
